		<description>Last Christmas was spent in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with a best friend and her parents. On one of our days in the city, we walked the side streets and found this little shop that sold hand-made crepe paper flowers. I bought the rest of the stems they had with no regrets, and made this Mexican Dreamcatcher (El cazador de sueños). It reminds me of the most delicious melted cheese in hand-mane tortillas, lime and coconut everything, and the beach. I'm convinced it catches all my anxiety of the daily grind while I fall asleep.

		<description>Here are a few mini projects I've done throughout the months. Some are design, some are building things, some are just sketches of future projects, and the rest are sketches of cats:

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

FOR DESIGN ONLY: Oh, the paper times have changed. Mills are closing and paper lines are being discontinued by the week. Frustrated with looking at a sample book and falling in love with a certain stock, only to find out that it's been 86'd, I developed a sticker system where my current office could keep the inspirational sample books for design reference, while not being seduced about the availability.

&#60;img src="http://payload44.cargocollective.com/1/4/147743/3185598/FDO.JPG" width="600" height="600" width_o="600" height_o="600" src_o="http://payload44.cargocollective.com/1/4/147743/3185598/FDO_o.JPG" data-mid="16300503"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

MEMORY KIT: These pencils are one part of an on-going research/design project I have with my own interest in memories. I had them personalized with my most favorite quotes on memories and the humanization of these abstract ideas of remembering and knowing.

&#60;img src="http://payload44.cargocollective.com/1/4/147743/3185598/memorykits.JPG" width="600" height="600" width_o="600" height_o="600" src_o="http://payload44.cargocollective.com/1/4/147743/3185598/memorykits_o.JPG" data-mid="16305343"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATRI: BIrthdays are a big deal. That's why Amanda and I hand-cut all these little letters and their shadows out of paper for our Assistant Creative Director's card. To finish it off, we gave the entire card-shield a lining of iridescent glitter. Everyone signed the back, and it was deemed the best card of the year.

&#60;img src="http://payload44.cargocollective.com/1/4/147743/3185598/Happy BIrthday Katri.JPG" width="600" height="600" width_o="600" height_o="600" src_o="http://payload44.cargocollective.com/1/4/147743/3185598/Happy BIrthday Katri_o.JPG" data-mid="16307245"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

GARDEN VARIETY AT THE BEEHIVE BAZAAR: I made some neat things for my label, Garden Variety. The neat things included stationary, hand-painted pattern artwork, and a series of hand-marbled paper. I customized the table and created the backdrop out of leftover paper.

&#60;img src="http://payload44.cargocollective.com/1/4/147743/3185598/IMG_5934.JPG" width="600" height="600" width_o="600" height_o="600" src_o="http://payload44.cargocollective.com/1/4/147743/3185598/IMG_5934_o.JPG" data-mid="16307428"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

		<description>Working with the theme of the year, “The Future Is Now”, I developed a concept that related to how sailors found their way at sea with the constellations at night. When my first choice of die-cutting little circles for stars into the cover proved too expensive, we decided to go with a rainbow glitter spot UV.

The “DELUXE” display face Nelma was designed by Missy Austin for Lost Type Co-op.
